Landslide Update

With the recent Rattlesnake Ridge Crack discovery, many have expressed concern in regard to our location in proximity an expected landslide. The landslide is actually located on one of the hillsides that comprise the physical Union Gap. It is moving at a pace of 2 inches per day and scientists believe that it will continue to move at a slow pace, falling South into a quarry pit.

While they believe minimal impact to the Interstate 82 nearby and the adjacent Yakima River, mother nature tends not to listen to conventional wisdom and may do her own thing. Many of our visitors use I-82 to access our Tasting Room.

Our winery is located far enough to the east of the landslide and while we will not be affected directly by falling debris, in the event that the highway is closed, we will be sure to update our website and social media pages with information on alternate routes.
